I, obviously, agree.
However, I am also enough of a realist to acknowledge that he probably only has himself to 'blame'. He seemingly waited out too long for the Mercedes or McLaren rides, and once they were out the question we were down to teams needing pay drivers.
But maybe he is better of this way. A chance could come up. It's rarely a year goes by without some substitutions going on. He could luck into a good drive that way. _________________ ANOTHER quality post from jcbc3!

When Mercedes #1 driver realises he's made a mistake in making a comeback? _________________ 'Ray, if you dress like a maths teacher again I'm going to paint your balls like hazelnuts and tell a bag of squirrels winter's coming!' - Gene Hunt

Oh no, that one won't happen
In fact, I expect Mercedes' #2 driver to have the better of the #1 driver for the first couple of races _________________ 'Ray, if you dress like a maths teacher again I'm going to paint your balls like hazelnuts and tell a bag of squirrels winter's coming!' - Gene Hunt

Yet another name has entered the race to partner Jose Maria Lopez at USF1 this year: Adrian Valles
He's a former Spyker test driver and was in line to replace Christijan Albers back in 2007. Since then he won the Superleague Formula title for Liverpool last year and is certainly one of the better qualified candidates that have been linked to USF1 _________________ 'Ray, if you dress like a maths teacher again I'm going to paint your balls like hazelnuts and tell a bag of squirrels winter's coming!' - Gene Hunt

At least he won a championship in an open wheel series and has driven an open wheel car in the past 3 years.
Then again it tells you something about SuperLeague Formula when Bourdais (whom I still have much respect for) goes in there with no experience with the car at all and earns four podiums and a win in just 6 races on a team that came in later in the season.
I guess someone better then nothing. _________________ "I pretend to text in awkward situations.."

USF1 could do a lot worse than Sebastian Bourdais. It's a shame he doesn't bring any cash with him....... _________________ 'Ray, if you dress like a maths teacher again I'm going to paint your balls like hazelnuts and tell a bag of squirrels winter's coming!' - Gene Hunt

Bourdais F1 career ended when a rookie who was not expected to achieve much blew his doors off.
Bourdais may be a fine driver, but his personality and way of doing things are not suited to F1. _________________ I travel on First Capital Connect, and I vote.

I think saying Buemi blew Bourdais' doors off is a little harsh. If you look at the results Bourdais actually finished better on average then Buemi (SeaBass finished in the top 11 - 4 times while Buemi finished in the top 11 only twice before Seabass was fired) and SeaBass was just one point down from the rookie in a really crappy car. Saying that, Seabass was still a point down he was the vet and in F1 that won't do no matter what your results are. Points do most of the talking not non-point finishes.
I still stand by the opinion that what put Bourdais under was his inability to adjust to the car. He was telling his engineers how to make the car adjust to him when in reality it should of been the other way around. I also believe too that if Vettel wasn't there in the '08 season we'd be heralding SeaBass' skill instead of knocking him. _________________ "I pretend to text in awkward situations.."

You'd have thought if you were touting around €15million, you'd actually have secured the funding first........ _________________ 'Ray, if you dress like a maths teacher again I'm going to paint your balls like hazelnuts and tell a bag of squirrels winter's coming!' - Gene Hunt

You have to have in mind that Tung is already reserve driver for Renault. _________________ ANOTHER quality post from jcbc3!

Yes but Tung and d'Ambrosio are only there because of their links with the new boss at Renault. Neither are what you'd call F1 quality _________________ 'Ray, if you dress like a maths teacher again I'm going to paint your balls like hazelnuts and tell a bag of squirrels winter's coming!' - Gene Hunt

There are rumors that Senna has been ousted from his Campos seat and that Lopez (formerly of USF1) has taken the seat instead. Wow! Money speaks again!

Those rumours have been around for a little while now. Once the takeover of Campos was complete it was postulated that Senna needed to bring more funds to secure his seat. Funny enough his management denied this......
Lopez does bring a hefty sum of cash though and if USF1 does fall through then Lopez will be an attractive proposition
I also read on Autosport that Karun Chandhok was close to securing a Campos drive _________________ 'Ray, if you dress like a maths teacher again I'm going to paint your balls like hazelnuts and tell a bag of squirrels winter's coming!' - Gene Hunt

The word "securing" seems spectacularly inappropriate in this context ... _________________ Blah blah blah. Insert wanky, unfunny oversized photo or movie clip here.
